Adah Sharma Stands Up for Victims of Forced Religious Conversion, Calls for Support

Mumbai - Adah Sharma, a relatively unknown figure until the recent political controversy surrounding 'The Kerala Story,' has called on the public to extend their love and support to the real-life victims of forced religious conversions.

During a press conference in Mumbai, Adah Sharma, along with the team behind 'The Kerala Story' including Yogita Bihani, Siddhi Inani, Sonia Balani, director Sudipto Sen, and producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah, urged people to listen to the stories of these girls and show appreciation for their struggles.

The film's makers arranged for 26 young women, who had experienced forced religious conversions at Aarsha Vidya Samajam Ashram in Ernakulam, Kerala, to meet with the media. In a gesture of solidarity, the team donated Rs 51 lakh from the film's profits to the ashram to support the education and upliftment of these women.

'The Kerala Story,' a controversial movie released in 27 countries, portrays the journey of three young women from economically disadvantaged backgrounds who are coerced into marriage, converted to Islam, and manipulated into joining the jihadist organization ISIS. The film draws inspiration from real-life incidents emerging from Kerala.

Adah Sharma's call to shine a light on the plight of victims of forced religious conversion has gained attention in national headlines. As the film continues to make waves, the focus now shifts to raising awareness and support for those who have faced such hardships in reality.
